Recording free to air & Foxtel

Build your content library for free

DVC is all about helping you to build your content library for free. As well as the 5000 video titles provided for free, DVC gives you great tools to help further grow your library.

Recording Free To Air TV

There is no other system worldwide that allows you to record from Free To Air and Foxtel as simply as DVC.

DVC comes with a built in Electronic Program Guide (EPG). This EPG gives you up to two weeks TV listing information including synopsis.
To record a program, you simply point and click with your mouse.
The program will then be recorded on to the DVC server. As you click to record that TV program, all the ‘Metadata’ is already filled in automatically, including the synopsis (description) of the program.

Capture from multiple channels at once

There is no limit to how many channels you can record from at once. The standard DVC system can record from 5 simultaneous channels. Simply add Capture Expanders to record more than 5 channels at a time.

Quality of recording

DVC has perfect recording results. It does not ‘drop frames’ or reduce the quality. You can capture analogue and digital TV at broadcast quality. DVC can then be set to transcode that file automatically to H.264 (the same video format used by Apple, Sony etc). This reduces the file size by 8 without losing any quality.

Recording from Foxtel

DVC allows you to schedule recording from Foxtel boxes. DVC will even control and switch channels on the Foxtel box for you. This means that you can record from multiple Foxtel channels overnight, over the weekend or even over the school holidays.

Automatic content finder

DVC includes a feature that will automatically find content for you. Simply type in either title or a keyword and DVC will automatically record it for you when it becomes available. And the great thing is...it's all for free.

More detailed info…The EPG comes from a data feed provided by ICE TV across the internet. DVC then converts that data feed into a simple graphical interface. This valuable service is free for 1 month and is then $99 per year, which the user pays on-line direct to ICE TV. Very simple.
